So true. I was on a pastor search committee when one of the other members of the committee made the comment that if we went in a certain direction we might lose most of our tithers. I told him that I didn't care if it cost us all of our tithers. All we needed to worry about was doing what God's will was leading us to do. I like the differentiation between "your church" and "Jesus church"
Awesome article. It really forces you to examine the mission of the church because so many times we make it a self-serving entity.
